Key Responsibilities of the PCU Registered Nurse:

Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to acutely ill patients requiring close monitoring

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
-
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments
-
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient progress closely

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
Requirements of the PCU Registered Nurse:

Active Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)

Current BLS certification

1+ years of acutecare/MedSurg ;preferred

Strong critical-thinking, communication, and patient-assessment skills
