Key Responsibilities

As a PCU/Telemetry RN, you will:

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic conditions

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to abnormalities

• Administer medications, IV infusions, and other therapies

• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to manage individualized care plans

• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions

• Accurately document all care, interventions, and observations in the EHR

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU, Telemetry, or MedSurg setting preferred

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills

• Ability to work in a high-acuity environment with frequent monitoring
