Key Responsibilities
As an Operating Room RN, you will:

• Prepare the operating room for surgeries and ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready

• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and monitoring patient condition

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs throughout the surgical process

• Maintain a sterile field and enforce infection control protocols

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure safe, efficient procedures

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia care when needed

• Accurately document patient information and surgical details in the electronic health record

• Participate in quality improvement, safety checks, and equipment maintenance routines

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CNOR preferred)

• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience

• Excellent attention to detail and surgical safety protocols

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations as needed
