Registered Nurse – MedSurg/Tele

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse – MedSurg/Tele, you will:

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the med-surg/telemetry unit

• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in cardiac rhythms and patient conditions

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge instructions

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state license

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit preferred

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and basic telemetry monitoring

• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
