Registered Nurse – MedSurg

Key Responsibilities
As an Medsurg RN, you will:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within a medical-surgical unit, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Assess patient’s physical, emotional, and psychological needs on an ongoing basis, developing individualized care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and closely monitor patient’s condition for any changes or complications.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
• Respond efficiently and effectively to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as required.
• Employ evidence-based practice and stay updated with the latest advancements in medical-surgical nursing care.
• Foster a supportive and therapeutic environment, promoting patient advocacy and delivering culturally sensitive care.

Schedule Details:

Night Shift:
7:00 AM – 7:00 pM
Full-time, permanent placement.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required, or must be obtained within 2 years of hire
• Minimum 2+ years of Medsurg experience required
• New Grads accepted, 2 years experience minimum
• Strong critical thinking, patient assessment, and emergency response skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
