Registered Nurse – MedSurg

Key Responsibilities
As a MedSurg RN, you will:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury

• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa (or compact license eligible)

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

• 1+ year of experience in MedSurg or acute care preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-acuity situations
