Key Responsibilities

As RN Manager of Surgical Oncology, you will:

• Lead daily clinical and administrative operations of the Surgical Oncology unit

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration

• Coordinate with surgeons, oncologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery

• Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation

• Monitor compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks

• Oversee training, onboarding, and ongoing staff education

• Foster an environment focused on patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes

• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and strategic planning

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred (MSN, MHA, MBA)

• 3+ years of clinical experience in surgical oncology or acute care

• 2+ years in a nursing leadership role strongly preferred

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; OCN certification a plus

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
