Key Responsibilities

As the NICU Nurse Manager, you will:

• Oversee the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the NICU

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate NICU nursing staff and support personnel

• Coordinate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams

• Implement evidence-based protocols to ensure optimal outcomes for neonates

• Monitor unit metrics including quality indicators, patient safety, and staff performance

• Lead department initiatives related to patient satisfaction, compliance, and efficiency

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations and standards

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license

• BSN required; MSN or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred

• BLS and NRP certifications required; Neonatal certification (RNC-NIC) preferred

• 3+ years of NICU experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role

• Strong understanding of neonatal pathophysiology, developmental care, and family-centered practices

• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
