Key Responsibilities

As the Registered Nurse Manager – Mother Baby/Obstetrics, you will:

• Lead daily operations of the Mother Baby and Postpartum units, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety

• Supervise and support nursing staff, fostering professional development and high performance

• Coordinate patient care delivery with obstetricians, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary teams

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff education initiatives

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, California Nurse Practice Act, and compliance standards

• Drive patient satisfaction, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice implementation

• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and operational planning for optimal care delivery

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Leadership preferred

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in obstetrics/mother baby/postpartum nursing

• Prior nurse leadership or management experience strongly preferred

• Current BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS and additional OB certifications preferred)

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive clinical outcomes, and mentor nursing staff
