Key Responsibilities

As the Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager, you will:

• Oversee daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring safe, high-quality care

• Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive team culture

• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices

• Participate in staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and budget planning

• Support patient and family education throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care

• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred

• Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor & Delivery experience, with 1–2 years in a leadership role

• Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AWHONN Fetal Monitoring preferred)

• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

• Ability to lead in a high-acuity, emotionally sensitive environment
