Key Responsibilities
As the ER Nurse Manager, you will:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the emergency department, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with clinical standards

• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff while fostering a collaborative team culture

• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet department needs

• Monitor and improve patient flow, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety guidelines, including infection control and emergency protocols

• Manage department budgets, supplies, and equipment

• Serve as a liaison between ER staff, physicians, and hospital leadership

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (or compact state license)

• BSN required; MSN or leadership certification preferred

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

• Minimum 3 years of ER nursing experience

• 1+ years in a nursing leadership or management role preferred

• Strong decision-making, organizational, and communication skills
