Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery, you will:

• Provide direct care to patients in all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery

• Monitor fetal heart rates, vital signs, and maternal progress during labor

• Administer medications and epidurals as prescribed and support pain management techniques

• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies

• Educate patients and families about the labor process, newborn care, and postpartum expectations

• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license

• Current BLS and NRP certifications required (ACLS and fetal monitoring preferred)

• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery or Women’s Health nursing experience preferred

• Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress, fast-paced situations

• Strong clinical skills, communication, and teamwork
