Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department, including assessment, triage, treatment, and evaluation.
- Rapidly and accurately assess patients’ conditions, prioritize care based on urgency, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following proper dosage and administration guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, specialists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient information, nursing observations, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Assist in emergency procedures, such as resuscitation efforts, trauma care, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in emergency nursing practice through continuing education and professional development activities.
Requirements:
• Active ;RN license in Virgina ;(or compact license)
• Minimum ;1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
• BLS, ACLS certifications ;required
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
