Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Room RN

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent conditions

• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as prescribed

• Operate and monitor emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors and defibrillators

• Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care

Requirements of the Emergency Room RN

• Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS/CPI certifications required

• 5+ years of relevant emergency or acute care experience

• Strong assessment, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
