Registered Nurse Director – Surgical Services

Seven Healthcare is seeking an experienced and strategic Registered Nurse Director for a full-time, permanent leadership role in Surgical Services at a top-tier healthcare facility in Houston, Texas. This position is ideal for a nurse leader with a strong background in perioperative services and a passion for driving operational excellence and patient-centered care offering $110,000 to $150,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities
As the RN Director of Surgical Services, you will:

• Oversee the daily operations of operating rooms, pre-op, PACU, and sterile processing units

• Lead and support clinical managers, surgical teams, and administrative staff

• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards

• Manage departmental budgets, capital planning, and resource allocation

• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, patient outcomes, and staff engagement

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for optimal surgical performance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

• BSN required; MSN or related advanced degree strongly preferred

• CNOR certification preferred

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Minimum 5 years of perioperative nursing experience

• Minimum 3 years in surgical services leadership or director-level role

• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
