Key Responsibilities
As the Director of the NICU, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for all NICU operations

• Ensure high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance

• Manage staffing, budgets, and department performance metrics

• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams

• Implement evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes

• Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to foster a culture of excellence

• Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, hospital leadership, and families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state)

• BSN required; MSN or related advanced degree preferred

• NRP certification required

• Minimum 5 years of NICU nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience in a NICU setting

• Strong knowledge of neonatal care standards and family-centered practices

• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
