Registered Nurse Director – Labor and Delivery

Seven Healthcare is seeking an experienced and visionary Registered Nurse Director to lead the Labor and Delivery department at a top-tier healthcare facility in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity for an RN with strong clinical expertise and a passion for maternal-child health offering $120,000 to $160,000 annually. ;

Key Responsibilities

As Director of Labor and Delivery, you will:

• Oversee all clinical and operational aspects of the Labor & Delivery unit

• Lead and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care

• Develop, implement, and evaluate department policies, procedures, and performance goals

• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and hospital administration

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality metrics

• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation

• Support maternal and neonatal safety initiatives and promote a culture of excellence

• Drive continuous improvement, staff development, and patient satisfaction efforts

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred (MSN, MHA, MBA)

• 5+ years of Labor and Delivery experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required

• Strong clinical knowledge in obstetrics and neonatal care

• Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills
