Key Responsibilities of an ;Behavioral Health Nurse:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health and psychiatric needs.

• Conduct patient assessments, including mental status evaluations and risk assessments.

• Administer medications, monitor effectiveness, and manage side effects.

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention skills as needed.

• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.

• Uphold patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Active California RN license

• Current BLS certification

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a ;Behavioral Health setting

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
