When there are cases, the tech will be expected to stay so flexible is required.Guaranteed Hours: Description: Under the direction and supervision of aradiologist/physician, performs specialized radiographic procedures. Alsoperforms general diagnostic procedures as required. Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring provider s orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Educates patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of service. Performs otherrelated duties as required and directed. Submission requirements: Cath lab experience – RequiredAHA BLS- RequiredSuccessful completion of a Radiologic Technology program- RequiredRegistered as a Radiologic Technologist- RequiredOne year related job experience- RequiredHealthsystem-wide profile standards References NOT required. A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred. Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above. Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
