Types of procedures required. Radiation Oncoloy Therapist duties associated with the delivery of external beam radiation therapy patient treatments on a Varian 21EX (no rapid arc or IMRT on Varian, but a few step-and-shot type photon fields) and a Tomotherapy treatment machine machine delivering helical and tomodirect photon treatments on TomotherapyEquipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)Accuray Tomotherapy and Varian 21EX external beam radiation oncology treatment machines. Mosaiq record and verify treatment record.Required skills and minimum years of experience.At least 5 years experience in external beam radiation therapy patient treatment delivery on Varian 21EX and/or Accuray Tomotherapy treatment machines Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)ARRT, OBMI ( Oregon Board of Medical Imaging, BLS) Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Regular work days – Monday to Friday (somewhere around 8-5 depending on patient load)Therapist will not work alone on treatment machines ( 2 therapists on each machine), therapist may work alone performing CT Scans.Weekends are not required unless we need to treat patients due to machine going down during the week ( doctor s call) . Rare occurrence.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)Dedicated to Radiation Oncology department only – no floating to other departments Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.Outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic (no bed size)Dress Code:Business casual, scrubs, no open toed shoes, Asante T-shirt or scrub top. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.Radiation Therapist orientation via shadowing current/existing Radiation Therapists or a few days unt locum gets up to speed – would expect experienced, professional Thrrapist to be able to get up to speed in a day or two)Comments: Prefers TrueBeam, Tomotherapy or Radixact , MOSAIQ Experience if available. Working Monday Friday ( 8-5 ) 40 hours GTD12 hours non-billable orientation for first work weekGuaranteed hours will not apply during orientation24 hours non-billable customer call off per 13 weeks.
