You must have an associatedegree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology; certification from theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our idealcandidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently, can make patientsfeel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure, and coordinates withthe patient’s physician to ensure the results are received in a timely manner.You also must be familiar with medical terminology and be able to stand forextended periods.MRI Technologist Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limitedto: – Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feelcomfortable- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patientinformation- Patient care tasks as neededMRI Technologist:- Two (2) Years’ Experience- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)- MUST HAVE GE or Siemens MRI SCANNER EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED- Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization (preferred) – must be willing to obtain this after startingSpecific equipment they must be familiar with: All Non-Contrast exams, Routine MSK, Neuro, Spine and occasional body MRI.Behavior Characteristics:Skills| Skill | SkillTypeDescription | Duration | ExpertiseRatingDescription || Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization (preferred) | Highly desired | 0 | || Two (2) Years’ Experience | Required | 0 | || BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) | Required | 0 | |
