ON CALL: NoneComplete Description:PediatricMRI Technologist Job SummaryWe are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associatedegree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology; certification from theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our idealcandidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently, can make patientsfeel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure, and coordinates withthe patient’s physician to ensure the results are received in a timelymanner. Must be comfortable scanning neonates through Age 18 and provide age-appropriatecare. You also must be familiar with medical terminology and be able tostand for extended periods.MRI Technologist Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limitedto: Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnosticimaging Prepare patients for scans and explain theprocedure to help them feel comfortable Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Wedo not place IVs here. Document all procedures while maintaining theconfidentiality of patient information Patient care tasks as needed Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines Can adjust scanning parameters to accommodate avariety of patient ages. Can properly screen and prepare the patient forscanning Can identify contraindications for safe scanning Can independently determine when a scan must bestopped due to motion and sedation/anesthesia is needed. MRITechnologist: Two (2) Years’ Experience BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) must have siemens scanner experience to beconsidered.
