Education Required High School graduate. Graduate of A.M.A approved school for radiologic technology and advanced training in CT, MRI, and Interventional Radiography.B. License/ Certifications Required 1. Licensed in NYS as a radiologic technologist.2. Advanced certification as a CT technologist3. Current ARRT4. Certified by NYS for contrast injections as required by the normal functions of the position.C. Experience/Skills Required two years’ experience.Computed Tomography Technologists use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Generally speaking, a CT technologist should be in good health because maneuvering equipment and patients who are disabled may pose physical challenges.
