Looking for evening support Monday – Friday 4:30p.m. – 1a.m. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent. Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. ARRT Registered Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience Certifications: Current ARRT Registry in Compliance with Continuing Education or is registry Maintain CPR certification Other: Requires minor nursing skills. Safety/Risk Management:Locates & properly operates oxygen, suction, blood pressure & other essential patient care equipment. Consistently observes patients before, during & after procedures. Makes & uses appropriate immobilization devices. Appropriately transfers patients to/from stretchers, wheelchair’s & on/off procedure table, giving care to IV’s & other appliances. Safely operates all equipment & immediately reports malfunctions. Locates all emergency switches. Demonstrates understanding of emergency procedures & radiation safety. Assures that all data entered/retrieved from physician orders and/or computer system is accurate. Verifies accuracy prior to procedure.Coordination of Services:Reviews orders for diagnosis & prescriptions. Collaborates with staff members & physicians to assure delivery of optimal patient care at all times. Utilizes resources appropriately, revising department schedule and staff assignments as needed. Performs all procedures according to protocol stated in procedure manual/prescribed by radiologist/physician. Presents completed procedure to radiologist/ physician for interpretation. Assumes responsibility for portions of quality improvement program. Keeps all documentation current & available. Follows through with any problem areas. Assists in department orientation program as needed. Assumes responsibility of training new staff. Contributes to development of educational needs, supervision and evaluation of support staff and/or students. Evaluates diagnostic procedure for appropriateness and takes corrective measures if needed. Screens for previous procedures.Complex Aspects:Assist radiologist and or performing physician with interventional procedures including routine, portable and emergency procedures. Assists with procedure maintaining sterile technique and sterile fields. Demonstrates ability to perform exams in ER including exams on trauma patients, Obtains appropriate clinical history and documents information. Obtains informed consent if necessary. Correctly obtains and administers contrast materials for patient exams. Timely sends all images to the Medicalis Basic Aspects: Greets patients by name; introduces self; provides patients with thorough explanation of procedures and efficiently performs procedure. Uses good judgment with add-on cases to meet patient needs and department needs without disrupting schedule. Understands safe & proper machine operation. Knows machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures. Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing diagnostic images with the ability to recognize technical abnormalities. Selects the appropriate techniques for each procedure. Positions patients according to department protocol. Prepares & stocks rooms for various exams; checks equipment between patients; orders supplies as needed. Cleans room and equipment between patients, including patient waiting areas. Effectively alters routine procedures when patient condition indicates – making appropriate changes in computer system, including exam and submitting charges. Assists in the transportation of patients/specimens. Works fair share of on-call & weekends. Willing to adjust personal schedule in case of fluctuations in workload or departmental need. Displays flexibility by willingly working in any area or changing scheduled work hours. Maintains alignment with PTO policy. Clocks in & out at scheduled time, no earlier than six minutes before/after scheduled shift; eliminates (when possible) overtime on a weekly basis. Keeps informed with current communications via meeting minutes, memos, email messages and postings.Communication Management:Routinely questions patient/family members before a procedure to obtain pertinent patient history, including always questioning female patients as to whether they may be pre Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent. Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. If practicing in Arkansas, a Radiologic Technologist License is required.Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree programCertifications: Current ARRT Registry in Compliance with Continuing Education or is registry eligible with a temporary license.
