Must be able to do X-ray.Additional Comments:Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period. It is intended to be an accurate reflection of the general nature andlevel of the job.Position PurposeUnder the supervision of the CT Supervisor, the incumbent produces diagnostic CT scans,assisting the radiologist in diagnostic CT scan procedures, and ensuring patient care whilerepresenting the vision and mission of Renown Health System.Nature and ScopeThe incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based onphysical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patient servedand meets standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age specific competencystandards.The incumbent is responsible for coordination of the daily workflow and assist in the throughputof ER, in-patients and outpatients and providing for appropriate QC monitoring, as specified inthe evaluation section of the job description.The incumbent is responsible to maintain current CPR certification, mandatory in-services, etc.This position has the authority to make technical decisions that will provide the best possible CTscans, and administer IV contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist.This position must be proficient in the use of in-house CT scanning and contrast injectingequipment. This position will require training and general knowledge attained to operate thehospital and departmental computer systems. Themajor challenges to this position are related to advance imaging for trauma, Stroke, Codeaorta, in-patients, outpatients and staying current with changes in the field of CT. Managingappropriate care prioritizations with rapidly changing volumes demands.
