Traveler will be working soloMust be Flexible with shifts as needed to cover department (NOC tech PTO Coverage)JOB SUMMARY:The radiologic technologistis responsible, under the supervision of a radiologist, for performingscreening,diagnosticand/or therapeuticimaging proceduresas required in the modalities where the employee is registered and / or licensed. These procedures are to be performed inaccordance withdepartmentand hospitalprotocolsand policies.The radiologic Technologists must perform theprocedurescompetently and, and where applicable, independently as the procedures may be performed under personal, direct, or generalsupervision.This position will include tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and tissues. This position may require day, evening, night shift hours and availability for on-call coverage.JOB RELATIONSHIPS:Directly responsible to Diagnostic Imaging ManagerWorks closely with Medical Staff, including but not limited to, Radiologists, Hospitalists, and ER physiciansWorks closely with hospital district leadership and departments as well as internal and external customers.OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS:Works in the general hospital setting. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states.Qualifications:Required:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyRadiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (or equivalent accrediting body) and certified by the state of California as outlined below:California State Radiologic Technologists LicenseRegistered RadiographerDesire to cross train into other modalities Current CPR cardPreferred: Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in applicable field or acceptable equivalent experience.
