This exam requires you to independently interpret cardiac rhythms using EKG strips and perform necessary calculations to determine the correct answers. This is a PASS FAIL exam. A score of 80% is required and no re-takes are allowed. You should be able to: Accurately analyze EKG strips using systematic interpretation (rate, rhythm, P waves, PR interval, QRS complex, etc.), with measurements using the 5 steps process Calculate heart rate using appropriate methods (e.g., 6-second strip, R-R interval) Identify and differentiate between rhythm types without prompts or answer choices The exam will include, but is not limited to: Ventricular rhythms Atrial rhythms Heart blocks Junctional rhythms Paced rhythms Strong foundational knowledge and the ability to apply critical thinking skills in rhythm interpretation are essential for success.
