This role requires becoming proficient as a scrub tech and observing/maintaining strict sterile technique, as well as performing in the roles of monitor and circulator. The cath lab works as a team and the ideal candidate possesses good interpersonal communication skills representative of highly functioning teams.Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center is the only medical center in the South Bay providing comprehensive cardiac care. Our two room cath lab performs procedures typical of much larger facilities, such as diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, pacemaker/ICD implantations, Electrophysiology studies and peripheral procedures. As a STEMI center, we strive to meet the American College of Cardiology goal of a door-to-balloon time under 90 minutes for all patients and are currently recognized by the AHA as a recipient of the Silver Award in both CHF and CAD.
