Key Responsibilities

As a Radiation Therapist, you will:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients as directed by a radiation oncologist

• Operate linear accelerators and other specialized radiation therapy equipment

• Ensure accurate patient positioning using immobilization devices and imaging

• Monitor patients for reactions and provide compassionate care throughout treatment

• Maintain precise treatment documentation and patient records

• Collaborate with dosimetrists, physicists, and other members of the care team

• Uphold safety protocols for radiation protection and patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T) required

• Active Iowa state license (or eligibility to obtain)

• BLS certification required

• 1+ year of experience preferred, though new grads will be considered

• Strong technical and communication skills

• A patient-centered approach and attention to detail
