Cheshire East Council is seeking a skilled and trauma-informed Qualified Social Worker to join our Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) Team. This specialist role is central to supporting children and young people through the criminal justice process by conducting high-quality ABE interviews in partnership with police and safeguarding professionals. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct ABE interviews with children and young people in line with national guidance, ensuring that evidence is gathered sensitively, ethically, and legally.

Work closely with police, health professionals, and legal teams in multi-agency settings to support child protection investigations and court proceedings.

Complete thorough assessments, reports, and safeguarding plans, maintaining accurate documentation that meets legal and procedural standards.

Provide emotional and practical support to children and families during and after the interview process, contributing to long-term safeguarding and recovery plans.
