Southwark Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Adult Social Worker to join their adult social care team. This role involves supporting adults with care and support needs, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and promoting independence and wellbeing within the community. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and experience working in adult social care settings.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of adults with care and support needs to determine eligibility and develop care plans.

Carry out safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory guidance and local policies.

Work collaboratively with health professionals, carers, and community services to coordinate support.

Monitor and review care plans to ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness.

Provide advice, guidance, and advocacy to service users and their families.

Maintain accurate and timely case records compliant with Southwark Council standards and legal requirements.
