Description: Specialty: Physical TherapistFacility: Marian Regional Medical CenterState License: CACerts/Licenses: Years of Experience: 2 year(s)Shift: 8H Days 8 hour daysGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekDescription: Unit Notes:***Inpatient/Outpatient***- Unit: Inpatient and outpatient PT, OT, and Speech – Certs: CCC-SLP is required, PT/OT/Speech all must have BLS – EMR: Cerner – Rehab Aides/OTA/PTA: aides only for outpatient – Weekend Requirement: normally 3 weekend shifts per quarter (might have to work one, maybe two weekends depending when their contract falls) travelers may have option to choose to work Saturday or Sunday or both, this is negotiable, will not be a deal breaker if traveler cannot work weekends. – Scrub Color/Uniform: Outpatient setting business casual – collared shirt and nice pants, can wear lab jacket if they want, inpatient – have to wear dignity health polos, they will be able to provide them if needed – Outpatient and Inpatient: PT and OT may have to work outpatient or inpatient – depends on need and requisition, manager will specify when sending need over to MSP team, ideal candidate would be someone with both outpatient and inpatient experience but it is not needed for them to have both, candidates should have basic acute care experience, including total joints – total knees, hips, shoulders if working inpatient – Shifts: PT – 8 hr shifts, start times vary, OT – 8am or 9am starrt time (8 hr shifts), SP – 7:30am start time m-th, start later on Fridays , outpatient clinic hours are 6am-7pm – What areas are they required to cover: Inpatient is primarily medsurg, tele, and ICU with minimal ER and Peds. – Floor specific orientation: several shifts – Common diagnosis / Types of patients: OT – a little of everything for inpatient, outpatient they do a lot of hand therapy (50%)so candidates working oupatient have to have experience with hand therapy, they also work with neuro and peds but this experience is preferred SP – stroke, TBI’s, oral/head/neck Cancer, outpatient setting will see 2x more peds so if they are working outpatient setting they will need to have peds experience PT – ortho, neuro, wound care, lymphedea program, peds, inpatient must have general acute care experience, 45-50% will be medsurg, 35% tele, and the remaining will be ICU and occassionally ER or peds, outpatient must have ortho and some neuro experience, 65% will be ortho including shoulders, knees, backs, basic stroke and other neuro patients ***Home Health***- Unit: PT, OT, Speech – Marian & Arroyo Grande (home based care)- Certs: Speech – do they prefer/require CCC-SLP and/or CCC-A credential?BLS required – EMR: Cerner – Rehab Aides/OTA/PTA: yes – usually will be perm staff though- Weekend Requirement: every 3rd weekend- Holidays: minor holidays, major only if needed – Scrub Color/Uniform: business attire with white lab coat, no jeans – Outpatient and Inpatient: N/A – Shifts: flexible, majority of work hours are M-F 8am-5pm – What areas are they required to cover: they will be assigned to a geographical region- Floor specific orientation: 1.5-2 weeks – Common diagnosis / Types of patients: PT/OT – ortho, strokes, ortho, joints, spinal injuries speech – anything – Additional Notes: Candidates must have experience with Oasis (gov’t mandated form). Must also have one year experience working PT/OT/Sp, home setting experience is preferred but not required.
