This position is 50% inpatient acute care and 50% outpatient (option for pediatric or adult OP)Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekDescription: Unit Notes:OSF ITEMS OF NOTE:- Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates)- OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift- Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION:- Last four (4) digits of clinician’s SSN- Clinician’s middle initial- Requested time off- Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated- Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels- # of patients treated per day: Varies on area covering, can be 6-10/day- General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS- Other Certs Required for all OT: State licensure, Lymphedema cert would be a plus- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Peds-geriatrics, ortho, neuro, fall risk, general weakness- Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient?: Inpatient, outpatient, home care- What areas are they required to cover?: Inpatient, outpatient, home care (Expectation will be that they can cover at least 2 areas inpatient/HHC, or inpatient/outpatient ortho, or lymphedema, or HHC/outpatient ortho, or lymphedema)- Experience or ‘Must have’ skills & common job duties: Need to have a diverse clinical background. Prefer peds experience, but not required. Must be able to work in all areas (inpatient/outpatient/home care).- EMR: Cerner Community Works for inpatient & outpatient charting, Kinnser for home health care charting- OT Manager/Supervisor: Lori Jarrett – director of rehab services- COTAs?:Utilize COTAs for treatments if available- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Prefer 4 – 10Hr shifts. Or 8Hr shifts/5 days per week (9a-530p or 10a-630p)- Weekend Requirements: No weekends- Holiday Requirements: No holidays- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Black, navy, or royal blue scrubs or business casual- Department specific orientation: 1st day – going over procedures/education, etc & observing; 2nd day – orienting, may get assigned to 1 or 2 treatments/evaluations; days 3-5 – assigned treatments/evaluations with extra time for documentation. Second week will be a full schedule.- Additional Notes: If there is a candidate that specializes in upper extremity OT, can consider without experience in other areas. If lymphedema specialist, will still be required to provide other OT treatments.
