Description: Specialty: OTFacility: OU HealthState License: OKCerts/Licenses: Years of Experience: Shift: Days Acute care and Trauma experience required, Travel preferred but NOT required 5×8 HrGuaranteed Hours: 40.00Description: General Description:-Under general supervision, performs professional Occupational Therapy activities consisting of planning, evaluating, establishing and implementing individual and group treatment activities under the direction of a physician.Essential Responsibilities:-Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position.-Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.-Interpret a physician s referral and select an appropriate standardized evaluation procedure.-Evaluate patient in the following areas: independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills and various psychosocial skills.-Interpret the data and develop a treatment plan involving short and long term goals, frequency and duration of treatment.-Assist patient in carrying out these procedures through the design and fabrication of adaptive equipment and orthotic devices, joint protection and body mechanics.-Inform patient and family goals and progress.-Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patient on home therapy plan.-May supervise students.General Responsibilities:-Performs other duties as assigned.
