Key Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating patients’ occupational therapy needs under OT supervision

• Implement treatment plans to improve functional independence and daily living skills

• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities in line with goals set by the OT

• Collaborate with OTs, physicians, nurses, and rehab staff for patient-centered outcomes

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy programs and progress

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active Maine Occupational Therapist Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain)

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program

• Excellent communication and patient care skills

• Previous rehabilitation or clinical experience preferred
