Key Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating patients’ occupational therapy needs under OT supervision

• Carry out treatment plans to improve daily living, mobility, and functional independence

• Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises

• Collaborate with OTs, physicians, nurses, and therapy teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Accurately document care in compliance with regulations

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and progress

• Participate in team meetings and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active Iowa Occupational Therapist Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain)

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred
