Job Details:
Thurrock Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adults Safeguarding Team as a Senior Practitioner.

The successful candidate will:

• Carry out safeguarding duties including emergency duty visits.

• Undertake initial information gathering, signposting, and completing Section 42 safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act.

• Participate in safeguarding strategy meetings.

• Complete Care Act assessments and Mental Capacity Act assessments.

• Work with adults referred to the team due to safeguarding concerns.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Care.

• Proven experience of completing Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries.

• Experience with Care Act assessments and MCA assessments.

• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• Availability to attend the office at least 2 days per week and travel across the borough as required.

Working Hours: Full-time (standard office hours).
