Occupational Therapist

The Isle of Man Department of Medical Services (DMS) is seeking an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist for a 3-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred care across a variety of clinical settings. You will play a key role in leading complex assessments, interventions, and service developments that promote independence and enhance the wellbeing of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for patients across diverse clinical settings.

• Manage complex caseloads autonomously, using clinical expertise to inform decision-making and prioritise care.

• Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff, students, and assistants as required.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, nursing, and social care colleagues, to coordinate holistic patient care.

• Contribute to service improvement initiatives, audit, and quality assurance to enhance therapy provision.

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and ensure adherence to professional standards and local policies.
