Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the London Borough of Hackney Council, delivering high-quality care within inpatient general medicine settings. This role involves conducting Best Interest Assessments (BIA) and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to person-centered care.

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for inpatients in general medicine.

• Undertake Best Interest Assessments (BIA) in line with legal and ethical frameworks.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Provide guidance, education, and support to patients and their families to enhance functional independence.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in compliance with professional standards.

• Contribute to service development initiatives and participate in continuous professional development.
