Job details: Senior Occupational Therapist required to act as a team lead in Trauma & Orthopaedics therapy team to cover vacancy. Key responsibilities are: 

• Co-lead and manage the T&O therapy team alongside the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and Peer Band 7 Physiotherapist.
• Manage, support and supervise OT staff and support workers.
• Independently manage a complex clinical caseload.
• Assess and treat patients with complex, acute, or chronic conditions.
• Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to improve function and post op delirium.
• Plan and coordinate safe, effective discharge pathways for complex cases. 
• Use advanced clinical reasoning for personalised care plans.
• Educate patients, carers, and professionals on OT practices.
• Provide specialist advice and act as a clinical OT resource.
• Manage challenging conversations with patients, their family members and staff behaviours.
• Support junior therapists across all OT domains.
• Apply expert knowledge, especially in #NOF fractures and major trauma guidelines
