Key Responsibilities
As the Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager, you will:

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of labor and delivery nurses and support staff

• Oversee daily operations of the unit to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care

• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and hospital leadership

• Implement best practices and evidence-based guidelines for labor, delivery, and postpartum care

• Monitor staffing levels, manage schedules, and coordinate coverage as needed

• Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements

• Provide education, mentorship, and performance evaluations for nursing staff

• Assist in managing department budgets, resource allocation, and strategic planning

• Promote a patient- and family-centered culture throughout the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN or MBA) preferred

• Current BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS preferred)

• Minimum of 3–5 years of labor and delivery nursing experience

• At least 2 years of leadership or charge nurse experience in L&D or Women’s Services

• Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills

• Familiarity with Baby-Friendly practices, maternal safety initiatives, and OB emergency protocols
