• All Certs Required: BLS

• Time off request much be included at submit. Client won’t allow changes after the candidate has been presented. Holiday RTO will not be approved so client has asked that we don't submit if the nurse has any holiday time off request. 

• Experience on the resume must show 2 recent years within the specialty.  

Facility Details:

• Effective January 11th, 2024, Albany Medical Center no longer accepts LOCAL CANDIDATES. The local radius rule is identified as 50 miles or less from Albany Medical Center.

• Timekeeping – Kronos

• Effective 01/11/2024, AMC will not accept applicants who reside in the following ineligible counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington.

• If candidate has worked as a perm employee at any of the below facilities within the last 12 months they can't be submitted for consideration: Albany, Glen Falls, Saratoga Hospital and Columbia Memorial

• As of 6/23/23 Albany Medical Center encourages the COVID Vaccine Card although no longer requires it.

• Modules required prior to starting. Client will email them directly to the nurse once they're fully compliant. Modules will be unpaid. Approximate time is 3 Hours.

• Please do not submit your candidate unless they’re 100% onboard with accepting the offer if given. The client is very sensitive to drops and we need to prevent any drops. 

• HealthTrust Travel nurses are required to float when requested and as needed. There is no set frequency.

Position Details:

• BLS Required
• Number of Beds : 36-bed unit
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) 
• Type of equipment: Blood pressure machines, IV pumps, wound vacs, PCA pain control pumps, PAPRs, telemetry monitoring, pulse oximeter, WOWs
• Documentation system: Soarian documentation system, MAK medication system
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, every other Friday, and every other holiday
• Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float pool team.
• Albany Med tops/shirts sold in the gift shop/unit acquired are acceptable.  
• The population served includes male and female patients ages 18 and over, with a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses. Age specific needs are assessed and considered in the plan of care throughout the length of stay. Such patients include but are not limited to; post critical care patients, patients needing symptom management, pain management, treatment related to renal disease, diabetes, alcohol withdrawal and opiate withdrawal.
• Ratios could be 1: 6-7
