Lead Registered Nurse – Apheresis Oncology

Based in Gainesville, Florida, this leadership role supports the coordination and delivery of advanced apheresis procedures for oncology patients in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment offering $65,000 to $105,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities
As the Lead RN – Apheresis Oncology, you will:

• Coordinate and oversee apheresis treatments for oncology patients, including therapeutic plasma exchange and stem cell collection

• Provide hands-on patient care before, during, and after procedures while ensuring clinical excellence

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff involved in apheresis treatments

• Collaborate closely with oncologists, hematologists, and other interdisciplinary team members

• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, protocols, and infection control standards

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education efforts

• Monitor patient responses, manage adverse reactions, and provide rapid clinical intervention as needed

• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

• At least 2 years of experience in oncology or apheresis nursing (leadership or charge experience preferred)

• OCN® (Oncology Certified Nurse) and/or APHERESIS certification (APH) strongly preferred

• Proficiency in operating apheresis and infusion equipment

• Strong leadership, clinical assessment, and communication skills

• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity, time-sensitive situations
