This includes the performance of clinical laboratory examination, proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management, instructing and evaluating students, and other functions toward the attainment of these goals.Additional Requirements:Independent judgment and initiative required to schedule, organize, and plan work.Teach medical technology students how to process specimens and answer computer related questions.Responsible for care and accuracy in collection and labeling specimens.Flexibility and adaptability in emergency situations including working additional hours or shifts.Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and alertly for extended periods of time, and under stress, to ensure against errors.Effective communication skills, use of computer systems, listening, speaking, writing and reading.Knowledge of HIS and LIS.Assorted laboratory analyzers and equipment appropriate to scope of position and dependent upon current technology.Assignment Location:71 Hospital Ave, North Adams, MA 01247BERKSHIRE HEALTH SYSTEM WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY.
