Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Nursing – Surgical Services, you will:

Oversee daily operations of the surgical services department, including ORs, pre-op, and PACU
-
Lead nursing staff, surgical techs, and support personnel to ensure quality outcomes and patient safety
-
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and hospital leadership to align care with institutional goals
-
Manage department budgets, staffing plans, supply usage, and capital equipment needs
-
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
-
Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor performance metrics
Qualifications
-
Active RN license in the state of New Jersey

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN or MHA) preferred

BLS and ACLS certifications required

CNOR certification preferred
-
Minimum 5 years of surgical services nursing experience, with 3+ years in leadership

Strong background in perioperative operations, regulatory compliance, and team management
