Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Nursing – Surgical Services, you will:

• Oversee daily operations in surgical services, including OR, pre-op, PACU, and sterile processing

• Lead and mentor perioperative nursing teams to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency

• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and equipment needs

• Collaborate with surgical and administrative leadership to improve workflows and patient outcomes

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact state eligibility)

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN or MHA) preferred

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• CNOR certification preferred

• Minimum 5 years of perioperative nursing experience, with 2–3 years in a leadership role

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of surgical services operations, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance
