Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Nursing – Surgical Services, you will:

• Lead all clinical and operational aspects of the surgical services department, including the OR, pre-op, PACU, and sterile processing

• Direct strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and resource management

• Partner with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and senior hospital leadership to align goals and drive quality care

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission)

• Lead performance improvement initiatives and monitor key quality and safety indicators

• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning among the surgical nursing team

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN, MHA, or MBA) preferred

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• CNOR certification preferred

• Minimum 5 years of perioperative leadership experience

• Strong knowledge of surgical services operations, regulatory compliance, and financial management

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
