Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Nursing for Post Care Cardiac/Stroke, you will:

• Oversee daily operations and clinical performance of the post-acute cardiac/stroke unit

• Lead, mentor, and manage nursing and support staff to deliver excellent, evidence-based care

• Collaborate with cardiologists, neurologists, rehab teams, and administration

• Develop and monitor unit goals, performance metrics, and quality improvement initiatives

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control, and patient safety protocols

• Manage staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and departmental budgeting

• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact license, if applicable)

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred

• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role in cardiac, stroke, or rehab care

• Proven leadership skills and understanding of post-acute care and recovery

• Strong communication, organizational, and team management skills
