Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Nursing – Labor and Delivery, you will:

• Oversee the daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management

• Ensure the safe and compassionate delivery of maternal and newborn care

• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, pediatricians, and hospital leadership to align care strategies

• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, hospital policies, and accreditation standards

• Monitor quality outcomes, patient safety, and satisfaction metrics

• Lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN or MHA) preferred

• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

• Minimum 5 years of labor and delivery experience, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership role

• Proven ability to lead in a high-acuity, fast-paced L&D setting

• Strong communication, team-building, and organizational skills
