CVOR Surgical Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgeries

• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper instrumentation and supplies

• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly

• Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies

• Collaborate with RNs and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient care

• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

• Document surgical counts and prepare instruments for sterilization

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience

• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instruments

• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
